Fire kills 3 siblings in Noakhali

Three siblings were burnt to death as a fire broke out at a house in Subarnachar upazila of Noakhali in the early hours of Saturday.
The victims are Md Fakir, 7, Md Samit, 5, and 18-month-old Ayesha Begum, children of Giasuddin, reports our Noakhali correspondent.
Giasuddin said the fire originated from the earthen oven of his house around 3:00am and soon engulfed the entire straw-made house.
He and his wife managed to come out of the house but their children could not make it as they were sleeping, the father said.
Later, the charred bodies of his three children were recovered from the spot, he said.
Abul Kalam, officer in-charge of Subarnachar Police Station, confirmed the incident.
Khairul Anam Selim, chairman of the Subarnachar upazila, said district Awami League has already provided the couple with Tk 10,000.
