Cebu mall fire destroys P10k in property in pizza parlor

Some P10,000 in property was destroyed after a fire occurred at a pizza outlet inside a mall in Cebu City shortly after midnight Monday.
The fire started at about 12:40 a.m., according to a report by GMA Cebu’s Jun Veliganio.
Firefighters at a nearby fire station could not immediately respond to the fire because their fire truck was broken down.
But other responding firefighters managed to get to the area and put out the fire in five minutes.
An initial investigation showed an overheating electrical outlet may have caused the fire.
“Ang outlet nila sa kusina na malapit sa dispenser, umusok na pagpa-activate sa sprinkler na siyang dahilan ng pagkabasa naman ng outlet,” fire investigator SFO3 Nick Ouano said.
