Fire breaks out at Bac Ninh industrial park

A fire broke out at a workshop of Mitac Viet Nam Company located in Bac Ninh Province’s Que Vo Industrial Park Number One at 8am today.
The fire started on the second floor of the workshop when the short circuit happened and spread out to other areas in the industrial park. The company is a member of Taiwan’s Mitac Precision Technology Corporation that produces electronic and metal spare parts as well as rubbery and plastic products.
The Bac Ninh Police Department sent 7 fire trucks and a hundred firefighters to the scene, and evacuated all workers from the industrial park because of heavy smoke and the smell of burnt equipment.
After two and a half hours, the firefighters extinguished the fire and tightened the security at the scene.
The workshop manager Nguyen Van Nhuong is reportedly burnt and choked, and has been taken to Bac Ninh General Hospital for treatment.
No loss of property has been reported so far.
The case is now under investigation.
