An explosion rocked the first licensed fireworks factory of Suphan Buri yesterday morning, causing one death and property damages. Killed at the scene was Yupha Phanmuk, 50.
Suphan Buri deputy police chief Colonel Chairat Tippayajan said he would set up a committee to look into the fire.
“We will summon the factory owner,” Chairat said.
Police believe the owner, Samruay Timkham, was not present during the blast and Yupha was his trusted employee. Police had inspected this factory previously and found that it was licensed.
