Properties worth Rs 3.5 m destroyed in Panchthar fire

PHIDIM: Properties worth Rs 3.5 million were destroyed when a house caught fire at Prangbung-8 of Panchthar district on Wednesday.
According to police, the house of Lakh Bahadur Rai caught fire all of a sudden at around 9 am today.
Cardamom, swertia and broom grass stored inside the house along with other properties were destroyed in the fire, said police.
The cause for the fire has not been known yet, said Police Post, Prangbung.
Six members of the family including Rai are left in lurch following the fire, said police.
Further investigation is underway.
