Fire devastates eight houses in Tambora

Fire gutted eight semi-permanent houses in Kalianyar, Tambora, West Jakarta, early on Wednesday. No casualties were reported.
“It is a densely populated area and the semi-permanent houses use flammable materials,” Sutarno, head of operations of the West Jakarta fire fighter agency said.
He said that the fire incident occurred at 3:15 a.m., and was extinguished an hour later after 33 fire engines were deployed from West and Central Jakarta.
He suspected the fire was caused by a short circuit.
“We have yet to calculate the material losses,” he said, as quoted by tempo.co.(iwa)
