Property worth Rs 10 lakh gutted in Rautahat fire

RAUTAHAT: Property worth Rs one million was destroyed as a Dalit settlement caught fire in Ganga Pipara of Rautahat on Tuesday.
The house of Mahendra Paswan in Ganga Pipara-9 had caught fire at around 11:30 am today after a gas cylinder explosion, police said.
Later it had expanded to other adjacent houses including those of Jogindra Paswan, Surendra Paswan and Jagadish Hajari.
Six houses and two cowsheds were completely destroyed in the blaze.
Meanwhile, locals demolished a couple of houses while dousing the fire.
Locals and police had controlled the fire within one hour.
No human and livestock casualty is reported, according to police.
Truck catches fire
Meanwhile, a truck parked in Garuda Municipality in the district caught fire destroyed a property worth Rs 100,000. The vehicle with an Indian registration number (RJ13J 7745) had caught fire today.
