Fire razes Bacoor residences, snarls traffic
Updated: 2012-11-28-10:46
Several families were reported affected by a fire that burned-down a residential area in Bacoor City in Cavite province Wednesday night.
The fire snarled traffic along the Coastal Road and left numerous commuters stranded, radio dzBB’s Mao dela Cruz reported.
Firefighters from Metro Manila had difficulties trying to reach the fire given the heavy traffic, forcing them to drive on the opposite lane.
The Philippine Red Cross, in a post on its Facebook account, said 27 families were affected by the fire.
No casualties have been reported as of posting time.
Initial investigation showed the fire started at 7:45 p.m. at Barangay Niog 1 in Bacoor and was placed under control at 9:55 p.m.
Arson investigators are still looking into the fire’s causes. — DVM, GMA News
