Razed Houses At Semporna Water Village To Be Rebuilt

KEMAMAN, March 25 (Bernama) — The houses at the water village at Kampung Bangau-Bangau in Semporna, which were destroyed in a fire early today would be rebuilt.
Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal who is also Semporna member of parliament said the homes would be rebuilt through funds from the National Security Council.
He told reporters this after launching a programme organised by his ministry for residents of Felcra Bhd at Felcra Seri Bandi here Wednesday.
About 250 houses on a four-hectare area were destroyed in the 2.02 am fire today. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
Mohd Shafie also assured that sufficient food and welfare aid would be given to the victims.
