SINGAPORE – A fire broke out on Sunday afternoon at a top floor unit of a five-storey building at 167 Selegie Road.
No one was injured in the blaze, which sent thick smoke billowing out of the fifth-floor unit.
Mr Ramanathan Thuraijoo, 32, a resident at a block across the road, said he was at the nearby playground with his niece and nephew when he heard people shouting that there was a fire.
“I was wondering why the sky had suddenly turned dark and I noticed thick, black smoke coming out from one of the units,” he said.
