Fire hits UERM building along Aurora Blvd. in QC

A predawn fire destroyed a part of the Second Floor of the University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay Building along Aurora Boulevard in Quezon City.
Citing initial information from officials of the Bureau of Fire Protection, “News TV Live” reported the fire broke out at about 3:30 a.m. in the computer room of the administrative office located on the Second Floor of the building.
An initial investigation showed air-conditioning units of the room were open 24 hours.
BFP investigators suspected that one of the units may have overheated and caused the fire.
The fire reached the 4th alarm and was put out at about 4:40 a.m., the report said, adding that no one was reported hurt in the fire that destroyed some P150,000 in property.
University officials have yet to make a statement on the incident.
