3 hurt in QC fire

Three members of a household, including a 7-year-old boy, were hurt after a fire razed a residential area in Quezon City Monday late night.
Authorities identified the victims as Tomas Lanuza, 70; Steven Lanuza, 7; and Beth Lanuza, 32.
Initial investigation showed that the fire started around 11:30 p.m. inside the two-storey house of the Lanuzas on Dona Rosario Street, Dona Rosario Subdivision, Barangay Nova Proper, Quezon City.
The flames quickly spread to adjacent houses, razing six homes and displacing 22 families, arson investigators said.
Arson investigators has yet to determine the cause of the fire, which destroyed around P150,000 worth of property.
Firefighters managed to put out the blaze around 2:05 a.m. Tuesday.
