Navotas fire leaves 100 families homeless

At least 100 families were left homeless when a fire broke out at a residential area in Barangay San Rafael, Navotas City at dawn yesterday.
Arson probers said no one was reported injured in the fire that reached the fifth alarm.
A resident said the blaze started from an electric post and immediately spread to the second floor of an adjacent house at Sitio Concepcion at past 1 a.m.
Arson investigators said the fire could have been caused by electrical overload and was aggravated by the slow response of firemen due to a narrow road leading to the scene.
The local government of Navotas distributed food and relief items to the affected families.
