Man Burns To Death In Car At Bandar Menjalara

KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 (Bernama) — A 38-year-old man was found burnt to death in his car when it caught fire at the intersection of Jalan Medan Putra 1, Bandar Menjalara, here early Tuesday.
The Sentul District Police Headquarters’ operations room received a call on the incident at 1.17am.
Its police chief, ACP R. Munusamy said upon rushing to the scene, the police found that the fire was already raging and the victim was in the driver’s seat of the car.
“The victim was believed to be a local resident, from Sungai Chuah, Kajang. Checks on the engine number found that the car was registered under the victim’s name.
“The case is still under investigation and is classified as sudden death,” he told BERNAMA.
Meanwhile, Sri Hartamas Fire and Rescue Deaprtment chief Rodzlan Othman said his department received a fire emergency call at 1.19am. A fire engine with eight firemen rushed to the scene and arrived there 18 minutes later, he said.
