Fire guts property worth Rs 2.5 mln in Saptari

SAPTARI: A fire that broke out in Kabilas-9 of the district gutted property worth around 2.5 million on Wednesday.
More than a dozen houses have been reduced to ashes after the fire started from Salama Khan’s house quickly spread to other houses last night, according to the Area Police Office.
Most of the foodstuffs, clothes, cash, gold and silver ornaments among others were destroyed in the fire, police informed.
Locals in coordination with the police doused the fire after a few hours.
