Bushfire at Kampong Terunjing Baru

A BUSHFIRE at Kampong Terunjing Baru was reported yesterday at about 1pm after brownish-grey haze were seen from a distance.
Small flecks of ash from the fire were seen drifting down over the highway near where the bushfire took place.
Five fire engines and 25 firefighters from Lambak Kanan Fire Station, Berakas Fire Station and Women Operations Unit of the Fire and Rescue Department, responded to the call and rushed to the scene led by Deputy Superintendent Officer of Operation Branch C, Nooraflan bin Awang Kachi.
The fire crew continued to monitor the area after they have managed to control the fire.
