Fire Razes Eight Squatter Houses In Semporna

SEMPORNA (Sabah), June 16 (Bernama) — Fire destroyed eight squatter houses in Kampung Air here today, but no casualties were reported.
Sabah Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Mohd Affendy K. Ramin said firemen had difficulty putting out the fire due to low water pressure in the area.
Ten firemen rushed to the area in three trucks after being summoned at about 10 am and brought the blaze under control at 10.18 am, he said in a statement.
Mohd Affendy said the cause of the fire and damage had yet to be ascertained.
