27 Students Affected As Hostel Is Razed In Fire

SIBU, June 18 (Bernama) — Twenty-seven students of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Ulu Arip near Tatau were forced to seek alternate accomodation when their hostel was destroyed in a fire today.
The blaze occurred about 12.30pm.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department, about 90 per cent of the wooden building was destroyed.
When firemen from the Tatau fire and rescue department, located about 80km away, arrived at the scene about 1.50pm, they found the blaze had been brought under control.
