Fire guts property worth Rs. 35mln in Lahan

LAHAN: Property worth around Rs 35 million was gutted in a fire that broke out at a motor vehicle garage caught on Saturday morning.
According to the Area Police Office, Golbazaar, motors parts, furniture and computers among other goods that were in the garage were completely destroyed in the fire.
The garage caught fire at around 3:00 am.
The fire was brought under control with the help of locals and security personnel backed by a fire engine after an hour, Police Inspector Santosh Niraula said.
He informed that the reason behind the fire was electric short-circuit.
