Karwan Bazar blaze tamed, fire services say

The fire at Karwan Bazar’s dry fish market has been controlled within half an hour on Tuesday.
Control room Inspector Syed Monirul Islam said locals had largely tamed the blaze by the time their fre fighting units could reach the spot.
The fire broke out in a stack of styrofom boxes kept beside the market.
The fire was reported just before 12 and six fire-fighting units were rushed to tame the blaze, Islam said.
However, he could not detail immediately the cause and the extent of damage. No casualty was reported so far.
