A fire that began Sunday night at Area B of the Airport Village, Barangay Moonwalk, Parañaque City razed 50 homes and affected 200 families, Super Radyo dzBB’s James Agustin reported.
The fire broke out at 9:37 p.m., reached Task Force Alpha, and was put out at 1:05 a.m. Monday.
Property damage from the fire was estimated at P300,000.
According to Parañaque City’s OIC Fire Marshall, Chief Inspector Renato Capuz, they were still trying to find out what exactly started the fire, though witnesses told them that an explosion was heard just before the blaze started.
Meanwhile, laboratory rooms at the Arandia College on Balarao Street were also affected in the fire. Classes in the college were thus suspended for the next three days, according to the school’s owner Mrs. Yolanda Arandia.
