Fire destroys 1,000sq.m of wood workshops in Ha Noi

Fire fighters are trying to stamp out the fire which has destroyed 1,000sq.m of wood workshops in Ha Noi’s Dan Phuong District.
A fire has destroyed 1,000sq.m of three wood workshops in an industrial complex in Dan Phuong District, the capital Ha Noi City.
The fire, which broke out yesterday afternoon in a wood workshop area, quickly spread to two other nearby workshops.
All three workshops are located in the Lien Ha handicraft village in the industrial complex.
No casualties were reported, as there were no workers at the site when the fire broke out, a local man said.
Dozens of fire fighters accompanied the seven fire fighting trucks from Ha Noi City’s fire fighting and rescue force, which were sent to the area immediately after the fire was reported.
The blaze was still smouldering in the morning, with large plumes of smoke clearly visible. The fire fighters had to continuously spray water to prevent the fire from again breaking out.
Ha Noi Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
