Four Houses, Kindergarten Razed In Fire At Kampung Sim-Sim

SANDAKAN, July 26 (Bernama) — Four houses and a kindergarten were destroyed in a fire at Bridge 20, Kampung Buli Sim Sim here today.
Sandakan Fire and Rescue chief Anddre Andrew said a total of 23 firefighters with three utility vehicles were deployed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 2.14 pm.
He said with the help of various parties including village residents, the fire was extinguished and prevented from spreading to nearby houses at the water village at about 2.58pm.
According to him, no casualties were reported while the cause of the incident was still being investigated.
