Firemen Rescue Two Brothers From Fiery End
Updated: 2015-08-08 12:00
SHAH ALAM, Aug 8 (Bernama) — Firemen rescued two brothers from what might have been a fiery end when they found themselves trapped for 20 minutes in their blazing house in Seksyen 10 here this morning.
Zariq Azraei Zainuddin, 14, and Adam Narwas, six, tried to escape through the rear door of the kitchen in Jalan Celana 10/13 but found it locked.
They were unaware their father, Zainuddin Abdul Wahab, 41, who was not at home at the time, had placed its key atop the door.
Just when they thought there was no way out, a team of firemen arrived at the scene and rescued the brothers at the height of the blaze in the incident about 9am.
Zainuddin said when the fire broke out, he and wife, Noorlaila Abdul Majid, also 41, together with another child were on the way to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman in Kuala Lumpur for business, leaving their two sons at home.
“I was informed the fire began to spread across the front of the house and my sons were trying to escape through the kitchen door, but found it locked.
“As I had placed the key above the door, my sons might have panicked when they failed to find it,” he told reporters at the scene of the blaze.
Nevertheless, he expressed gratitude to the fire and rescue department whose quick action led to the rescue of his children.
