Greater Jakarta: Fish warehouse catches fire

JAKARTA: Fire ravaged a frozen fish storage warehouse owned by PT Sejahtera in the Muara Baru warehouse area in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Friday.
North Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency head Satriadi Gunawan said as quoted by beritajakarta.com that he had deployed 17 fire trucks to extinguish the fire, which started at 8:30 a.m.
“It was somewhat difficult to extinguish the fire as people swarmed around the location,” Satriadi said, adding that the fire trucks also found it hard to reach the location as many drivers stopped their vehicles to watch the fire.
He had yet to calculate the total damage, but no casualties had been reported. “Penjaringan Police are still investigating the cause of the fire,”
