Three Killed In Road Crash Near Kluang

JOHOR BAHARU, Sept 7 (Bernama) — Three people, including a pre- school assistant and a student were killed when the cars they were in collided at Km18 Jalan Kluang-Teck Wah Heng, Renggam, near Kluang, today.
Kluang district police chief, ACP Mohamad Laham said the accident took place about 7.10 am and involved a Perodua Viva driven by the pre-school assistant, Suziyani Samat, 33, and a Proton Wira carrying the female student, Goh Xin Girl, 17, along with a man, Liew Shun Jie, 20.
Mohamad said the accident occurred when Liew, who was driving the car from Simpang Renggam, lost control at a bend and entered into the opposite lane colliding with Suziyani’s car coming from Kluang.
He said all the victims were trapped in their cars and were removed with the help of firemen from the Renggam Fire and Rescue Station.
He said Suziyani who was on her way to work in Simpang Renggam, suffered serious injuries to the head and body, Goh on the head and legs while Liew was injured on the head, hands and feet.
It is understood Suziyani was a committee member of Simpang Renggam Puteri Umno.
The bodies were sent to Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital, Kluang.
