DHADING: A fire broke out in a temporary shelter of quake victims in Dhading’s district headquarters Dhadingbeshi on Tuesday.
Quake victims, Surya Prasad Khatiwada, Sujata Gurung and Milan Bhandari along with their family, were residing in the single tent since April 25 earthquake, on the premises of Dhanding District Hospital.
Properties like blankets, mattresses, bedsheets, pillows and clothes in the tent were destroyed, victims reported. However, no human casualty was reported as the tent was unattended during the incident.
It is assumed that the fire broke out due to a short circuit or from a burnt cigarette at around 9:30 am. However, police said the exact reason could not be ascertained.
