Three die, at least 10 injured as microbus, truck collide head-on in Cox’s Bazar

Three people including a child have been killed and at least 10 others injured after a truck hit a microbus head-on, causing its gas cylinder to explode, in Cox’s Bazar’s Chakaria.
All victims were passengers of the microbus, said Chakaria police OC Probhash Chandra Dhar.
He told bdnews24.com that the accident took place at Harbang Goyalmara on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar Highway at around 1:30pm on Monday.
He said the Cox’s Bazar-bound microbus caught fire when its CNG cylinder exploded after the Chittagong-bound truck crashed into it.
Police recovered the bodies of the deceased and kept them at Chakaria Police Station.
Three of the injured were admitted at Chittagong Medical College Hospital and seven others at the Chakaria Upazila Health Complex.
