Fire at cracker factory in Ratlam

A major fire was reported at a firecracker factory in Jaora about 4-km away from Ratlam district early morning on Sunday.
Fire broke out after a spark in the building. Administration had to call in for help from neighbouring districts to douse the fire. No casualties were reported in the incident, claimed local police.
Following recent Petlawad blast, a team headed by tehsildar Rashmi Shrivastava had on September 13 raided the firecracker industry being run by a businessman Siddharth Tiwari and found out that he did not have the licence to run the factory.
Factory was sealed and Tiwari was instructed to stop the business. At that time 291 boxes of firecrackers were present in the factory, claimed an official.
