Fire breaks out at two buildings in Jaipur

Two incidents of fire were reported in multi-storied buildings in the city on Sunday. In the first incident, a fire broke out on the eighth and ninth{+ }floor of a residential building in Jyoti Nagar area on Sunday morning. Huge flames were seen emanating from the floor.
According to fire officer Sanjay Sharma, “No injuries were reported and it took more than one dozen fire tenders to douse the fire. The reason for the incident is still not known.”
Panic gripped the residents of nearby buildings. “We saw fire for the first time in a residential multi-storied building. The incident could have been bigger if it was not controlled on time.”
The fire department doused the fire using a snorkel ladder, especially meant to deal with such incidents. The owners of the flats took out gas cylinders on time. However, household goods including electronic items and furniture were gutted.
In the other incident, fire broke out in the office of a private company on the third floor of a business complex in Amrapali area of Vaishali Nagar on Sunday morning. Its server was burnt in the incident.
Sharma said, “A fire tender unit each doused the flames at both places. The causes of the two incidents are yet to be ascertained. However, a short circuit in the electrical wire is suspected to be the primary reason.”
