Massive fire breaks out in Gurgaon market, 17 fire engines rushed to spot

The fire started in a bakery in a four-floor building in Sadar Bazaar.
A major fire broke out in Gurgaon’s Sadar Bazaar area on Tuesday evening. The fire broke out in a bakery in the market at around 6.30pm. The bakery is in a four-floor building in Sadar Bazaar which is Gurgaon’s largest market.
17 fire tenders with 60 firemen and one hydraulic platform are on spot and trying to control the huge fire. Four more fire engines joined them shortly before 8 pm.
The fire brigade received first call at 6.46pm at Sector 29 fire station and six fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
The Bhim Nagar fire station was alerted at 6:50pm and two tenders were rushed within a minute. However, the firemen noticed that the blaze was so massive that a second call for more tenders was made at 7.05pm to Udyog Vihar station and two water bowsers were rushed.
The deputy commissioner TL Satyaprakash has reached the spot.
