One charred to death in Balotra fire

A labourer was charred to death when fire broke out at a factory in Balotra industrial area in Barmer district on Thursday late night. late night at 2am in which a labourer died of burn. It took two hours for five fire tenders to douse the fire. Machines and cloth bales worth lakhs of rupees were gutted.
The family members refused to take the body in the morning as they sat on harna throughout the day and finally accepted the bodies in the evening after persuasion. According to police sources, ban was lifted by NGT on balotara industrial area and the work resumed on the next day. In the haji mehamood textile caught fire and municipal council fire brigade reached the spot immediately.
On asking nearby people
Locals said that, few people were caught in the factory and rescue operation was started and maximum people were taken out. But Hari Ram Meghwal, a resident of Akdali got burnt and succumbed to the injuries.The fire was doused, but this incident has shook the industrialists. Last year a day before diwali a fire cracker shop caught fire and seven people were killed. On the other hand, the family members of the deceased refused to take the body and after persuasion and deciding the compensation amount, they took the body on Friday evening
