Two girls burnt alive in Ghazipur

VARANASI: Two girls were burnt alive while hutment and all household articles of 20 families was gutted when fire caught in the slum area of Bahrar village under Kasimabad police station in Ghazipur district on Thursday.
According to reports, initially fire caught in one of the 40 huts, owned by 20 families of the slum area. Before the villagers could extinguish fire the flames took all the hutments of locality in its grip due to strong wind.
Though most of the slum-dwellers succeeded in escaping, two girls Puja (12) and her sister Aarti (20) failed to go out and suffered severe burn injuries. They died on the spot. Two goats of a family also burnt alive in this incident.
