Bus catches fire near Chandrima Udyan in Dhaka

A bus has caught fire at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka due to some defect in its gas cylinder line.
Fire Service control room official Palash Chandra Modok said the Bihanga Paribahan bus was engulfed in flames near the Chandrima Udyan around 1pm on Friday.
Rushing to the spot, two units of fire-fighters doused the flame promptly.
No one was injured in the fire, Palash said.
“The fire originated from a defective cylinder line. But a disaster was averted because the cylinder did not burst,” he added.
