Fire breaks out in Por GIDC factory

Fire engulfed the factory unit of a storage tank manufacturing company in Por GIDC on Thursday evening. Around 40 drums containing oil were destroyed in the fire. One of the persons present at the spot sustained minor injuries.
The fire at Sarwan Engineering Works broke out at around 9.30pm. Exact reason of the fire is unknown. Raw materials and plastic grains manufactured at the facility were gutted in the fire.
According to fire brigade officials the damages amounted to lakhs. Veeru Rajavar one of the staff members at the company sustained burn injuries on his leg. The fire was brought under control in about half-an-hour.
This is the second incident of fire at GIDC Por in less than a week’s time.
