Fire breaks out at hosiery factory
Updated: 2015-12-01-11:09
A fire broke out at a hosiery unit in Kirpal Nagar around 5am on Monday.
Though the reason is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that short-circuit triggered the blaze.
The hosiery unit owner, Sanjeev Kumar, said, “The factory was closed when the fire broke out.
Neighbours informed me after spotting smoke billowing out from the second floor of the building. I immediately called up the fire department, but firemen reached after 30 minutes.”
The fire safety department officials, however, said after they received the information, two fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The blaze was doused in one and a half hours.
No one was injured in the incident.
