A cloth factory in Balotra industrial area in Barmer district caught fire on Friday night in which two labourers were burnt alive. Clothes worth lakhs of rupees were also gutted.
Police and administration reached the spot after receiving information and began rescue operations.
Cairn Energy fire tenders reached the spot and with the help of four fire tenders, flames were doused.
The bodies have been kept at a mortuary. Both the labourers are said to be from Uttar Pradesh and they have been identified as Sanjay (23) resident of Hajpur and Ajay (19) resident of Saya, both in Kanpur district. tnnPolice have begun investigation, the reason of fire is said to be short circuit. Due to carelessness in security in industrial units, fire incidents are increasing. In the last four months, half a dozen fire accidents occurred in which four labourers lost their lives.
