Hut, parked bikes catch fire in Valley

KATHMANDU: Two incidents of fire damaged a hut and two motorcycles in Bhaktapur and Kathmandu districts respectively on Monday.
Property worth around Rs 1.02 million was gutted in a fire in Pakunne Pati Kalintar of Chaugunarayan Municipality-1 of Bhaktapur district.
According to police, the one-storey shelter of Lalit Kasichhawa and his brother Parmeshwor was reduced to ashes.
Similarly, two motorcycles, which were in a queue for fuel were damaged after the fire broke out at an electric wire over a utility pole near the Nil Saraswoti Mandir of Lazimipat in KMC-2.
The two motorcycles – Ba 24 Pa 7703 and Lu 3 Pa 7294 – were partially damaged by the fire.
The fires were contained by fire brigade, local people and police.
