Goods worth lakhs gutted in flour mill fire

Fire broke out at a flour mill near Pratap Chowk in the wee hours on Saturday. Goods worth lakhs perished in the fire.
According to fire safety department, the fire broke out at BS Flour mill at 3:30 am. The reason behind the incident couldn’t be ascertained.
A fire tender was rushed to control the flames.
The mill owner also ran a grocery store at the place and had kept photostat machines and mobile coupons. Everything perished in the fire. Also the roof of the shop collapsed in the incident.
Neighbours who had gathered at the spot said a person from the market had passed through the area at around 2 am, but at that time he had seen nothing. But after around one and a half hours, people saw smoke emanating from the mill.
Neighbours also said the fire department took almost an hour to reach the spot.
