Fire tender hits house in Balaghat, 1 dies & 2 serious

A fire tender rammed a house, resulting in death of one and injuries to two persons at Kolhiyatola Mohgaon village in Balaghat district on Sunday morning. The incident took place at 10 am.
Suresh Markam, 34, who was basking in sun outside his house, was killed and his wife Sangita Markam and another woman were seriously injured, when the fire tender rammed the house, police said.
The fire tender of Malajkhand municipality was going to Chartola locality after receiving an information about fire there, but it hit Markam’s house before it could reach Chartola, police said.
