Fire Destroys Sabah Police HQ File Registration Room

KOTA KINABALU, Jan 7 (Bernama) — The file registration room of the Sabah police headquarters was destroyed in a fire at noon, a Sabah Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre statement said Thursday.
According to the statement, the room located on the fourth floor of Block A at the Sabah police headquarters was completely razed.
The statement said the Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 1.51pm before two fire engines with 23 firemen were deployed to the scene eight minutes later.
The fire was brought under control at 2.09pm and was completely extinguished 25 minutes later.
Meanwhile, a Sabah police headquarters corporate communications media unit spokesman in a statement confirmed the incident and police were still investigating the cause of the fire and estimated losses.
There were no casualties in the incident.
