Fire razes 7 squatter houses in Kampong Gudon

Seven squatter houses were razed in an early morning fire at Kampung Gudon, Jalan Sepanggar, near here at about 10am yesterday.
Sabah Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Mohd Affendi K Ramin said the fire and rescue department received a distress call at 10.11am and firefighters were immediately deployed to the scene.
“The fire was brought under control by 12.53pm and prevented from spreading to 32 houses situated nearby but there were no casualties,” he said in a statement, here yesterday. He said 42 firefighters from the Kota Kinabalu and Likas stations were deployed.
