House gutted in fire at Wadi

Fire broke out at a residence in Soni Pol locality of Wadi area on Saturday afternoon following an electrical short circuit in one of the switch boards.
Following the incident, the fire brigade was rushed to the spot which doused the fire in about half an hour. According to the fire brigade, air conditioner, refrigerator and other household items were damaged in fire. However, no casualty was reported from the spot.
“This time we used bike mounted firefighters as the incident took place in a narrow lane. The incident was an outcome of poor maintenance of electric circuits in the neighbourhood,” said fire officer Manish Mod.
