Scrap collection centre catches fire

KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 12.5 million was reduced to ashes when a scrap collection centre caught fire in Sanepa of Lalitpur on Saturday.
Police said the SR Suppliers operated by Bharat Adhikari in Sachal, Sanepa, LSMC-2 had caught fire today.
Machinery, huts, papers and two vehicles (Ba 13 Cha 6504 and Ba 6 Cha 1544) were burned down, according to police.
Meanwhile, an electronic short circuit-sparked fire gutted property worth Rs 3.5 million in Jadibuti, KMC-35 on Friday.
A hardware shop owned by Deepak Shrestha had caught fire.
Fire brigades assisted by locals and police had doused the fires.
Police said they are looking into both cases.
