Property worth Rs 5.3 million gutted in fire

BIRATNAGAR: Properties worth Rs 5.3 million turned into ashes after a fire destroyed five houses of Waksa VDC-5 of Okhaldhunga district last night.
According to the information provided by the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, the fire destroyed the clothes, money, jewelries and domestic animals.
The fire was brought under control by the locals and police in three hours at 1:00 am.
However, further information about the damage is yet to come, the police added.
