Massive fire breaks out in Siraha village

GOLBAZAAR: A massive fire broke out at Bharnaini of Bishnupurkatti VDC-1 in Siraha district this afternoon. Dozens of houses were gutted in the fire.
Superintendent of Police at the District Police office, Siraha, Shyam Gyawali, said that hundreds of police personnel have been mobilised to contain the fire. Strong winds, however, have been hampering efforts to bring the fire under control, Gyawali said.
A fire engine from Lahan municipality is working to douse the fire while two others from Saptari and Dhanusha are on their way. The fire is yet to come under control.
