Fire destroys a house in Salingyi

A FIRE destroyed a house in Hsontar village, Salingyi township on Monday. According to an investigation, the fire broke out when U Than Maung, 55, left his home without putting out his cooking fire. Remnants of fire spread and sparked the blaze. The fire was put out by firemen with the assistance of neighbours.
Local police have filed charges against the owner.
