Saptari fire guts property worth Rs 1 m

SAPTARI: A fire gutted property worth Rs 1 million at Bathanaha VDC -5 in Saptari district on Monday.
According to the Area Police Office, Hanumannagar, the fire broke out from the house of Naresh Mandal of the VDC after an electric short circuit had destroyed a house of Mandal and two houses of his neighbour Pitambar Mandal.
The fire was brought under control with support from the local residents, police personnel and a fire engine from Rajbiraj.
