Fire in Lullanagar mall spreads panic

Panic spread among the visitors of a mall in Lullanagar Chowk on Tuesday afternoon after fire broke out in an artistic pillar.
No one was injured in the incident.
The city fire brigade told TOI that the pillar, made of wood, was erected after the mall was constructed and was one of the mall’s main attractions.
Fire brigade officials said the mall houses a popular bhel puri shop and there were many people in the mall when the fire broke out.
It is not known how the fire broke out but fire brigade officials said that it started at the pedestal of the pillar and within few minutes, entire pillar was engulfed in the flames. tnn
