Fire hits lumad evacuation camp; 5 hurt

Five persons were injured when a fire hit an evacuation camp of lumad refugees here before dawn yesterday.
The victims were brought to a hospital for treatment.
Police said the fire started at the ground floor of the Gregorio Gonzales Dorm, but some groups claimed unidentified men torched a temporary shelter near Gate 2 of the evacuation camp.
The evacuation camp is at the Haran compound of the United Church of Christ of the Philippines.
Bureau of Fire Protection officials pegged the damage from the fire at P 900,000.
